Dragon Ball is Legendary. The whole franchise is so popular non anime people know of it. the original Series is not as known as its sequel Dragon Ball Z. but it deserves its rightful place in the Blu-ray shelves. Dragon Ball Z not only got a Blu-ray, but it also got a complete overhaul to make it more faithful to the Manga. it's not unheard of for sequels to be in HD and the original isn't. but with a franchise so popular like Draogn Ball and people dying to get their hands on Super when it comes out. i think it's time people get reintroduced with the original.

Honestly I'm on the fence with this anime film. I honestly think this movie doesn't need a Blu-ray release its fine the way it is. the animation is top quality and the colors aren't that grainy or faded. but i felt there were a few touch ups i could do to it to make it shine. and of course color was number one. i was amazed on the quality of the dvd that when i scaled it i honestly didn't think i needed to do much work. if done right and not messing too much i feel the company can make a truly beautiful Blu-ray version of the film.

 I didn't watch a lot of Cartoon network shows unless they were Anime related. but one show i did watch from time to time was Dexter’s Laboratory. it was smart, witty, and colorful. it was entertaining for all ages including adults in my opinion. the reason i think it should be remade for Blu-ray is the fact that i think it would translate well. and i think the fanbase is still there.

Why Viz Media Why. Bleach Got a Blu-ray Edition. One Piece got a complete HD 16:9 overhaul Digitally. But yet Naruto got nothing. Its Sequel Shippuden was broadcast in HD for the later seasons and even switched to widescreen format 16:9 after season 2. So it confuses me on how Viz Media hasn't made this classic HD yet. is it fear? maybe. Sailor moon and Bleach both got Blu-ray editions and they are being criticize daily on how poor they are. so maybe it's just fear. Even the broadcast HD Episodes of Shippuden some are not the best looking. but thats the Studio's fault. what ever the reason a HD Naruto Series would sell like crazy if done right and would truly put Viz Media on the Map since their competitors have more Blu-ray Editions of classic shows.

 I don't think there is a living soul on this planet that doesn't know about Pokemon.like wise i dont think there is a livng soul that doesn't know Pikachu. so how is it, that one of the biggest franchise hasnt remastered the first season yet in Blu-ray. as the date of this blog post. the first i believe 4 pokemon movies will be available on Blu-ray in February. and since the start of Pokemon Diamond and Pearl Pokemon has been broadcasting in full HD. at the same time im also scared Viz Media will mess up the upscales since every Upscale they have released has been crucified by fans. so please Viz Media if you are reading this. I gotta own them all in Blu-ray.

Invader Zim was one of the most interesting cartoon i have seen. it's edgy but still not edgy enough to be classified as mature. it was bold in the animation. and it has a very large following. it's the type of show you really have to see it to get a sense of it. you cant really talk about the show to someone who hasnt seen it. this show if done right can become huge in HD Blu-ray. its very sad we wont see a official HD release.

Upscaling Anime for anyone, Fan groups or the companies themselves is very touchy. Anime fans are very loyal to their shows and merchandise. Whenever upscales are involved they will go through it with a fine comb and make sure it lives up. for many fans, some of the companies Upscales hasn't lived up to. Popular anime's like One Piece, Bleach, and Sailor Moon that gotten official HD upscales all have been received with complaints up roar and even boycott from fans that say their shows have been ruined by unproper upscaling. complaints have ranged from bad color correcting, bad croping for wide screen. bad anti aliasing and the list goes on and on. even with the many flaws of Anime upscaling, the companies have gotten it right and it gives me hope they can continue. Vampire Knight is one of my favorite Vampire ANime that only got a DVD treatment. and due to Viz Media habit of making bad upscales i doubt this anime will get the HD treatment, so I'll enjoy my own HD
